Sea Excursion - The Short Tour
Sea excursions depart from Longue-Pointe-de-Mingan. Each boat has a maximum capacity of 12 people. The excursion lasts approximately
3h30. During the trip, an educational sea urchin fishing demonstration is performed. Once on board, we head to Perroquets Island under the theme: One island, one lighthouse, birds...
1-hour stopover with a Parks Canada interpreter for the 8am and 11:30am departures, including a presentation of the Perroquets Island lighthouse. The 3pm presentation is given by the captain instead of a Parks Canada interpreter. It is a prime location for observing seabirds. Among them, the Atlantic puffin is undoubtedly the star of the show.
With its little clown-like appearance and brightly colored beak, it is one of the most fascinating birds of the islands.
Then, everyone back on board, destination Nue Island (1-hour stopover), under the theme "Beyond appearances..." a one-hour stopover, accompanied by a Parks Canada interpreter for the 8:00am and 11:30am departures. This island is a unique place to admire the
forces of nature. A northern landscape similar to the tundra, its appearance is barren, with only a few small shrubs and monoliths seeming to have taken root there.
Return to safe harbor with your head filled with exceptional scenery and unique encounters with Atlantic puffins, grey seals, minke whales...
